Our dentures are created using Diamond D ultra-impact acrylic resin to maximise durability and resistance to fatigue fracture. They also incorporate stippling of the gums, to mimic the appearance of natural gums and make your denture appear as life-like as possible. The incorporation of premium quality, highly aesthetic (usually Ivoclar Vivodent or Enigma Life) teeth as standard adds to this effect to create a beautifully crafted and durable product
Valplast dentures are created from nylon and unlike conventional dentures, they are flexible so can engage areas of tooth undercut to offer excellent fit whilst covering less of the mouth. This makes them perfectly suited for patients who struggle to tolerate conventional dentures or who wish to subtly replace a small number of teeth. Reduced palatal coverage also improves taste and temperature perception of food, which can be a drawback with conventional dentures. Our practice is delighted to offer Valplast dentures as an alternative option to conventional acrylic dentures and our experience is that they are exceptionally well tolerated
Cobalt-chromium or titanium cast metal denture plates or frames can also be incorporated into the design of your new denture(s) and typically rely on retentive features on the teeth themselves to keep the denture in place. This is advantageous as it means the denture can be made much thinner and covering less of the mouth than standard acrylic dentures so they are usually better tolerated and much stronger. In cases of previous denture fracture, they can also be incorporated into the design of full dentures (replacing all the teeth in an arch) but are not routinely provided due to the increased cost.
